“We are delighted to welcome Luxair to Helsinki Airport for the first time. We wish the new Helsinki–Luxembourg route every success,” said Petri Vuori, SVP, Route Development, Finavia, in his welcoming remarks.
The first flight to Luxembourg departed on 2 July 2026. The inaugural service was celebrated at the departure gate together with stakeholders and passengers travelling on the maiden flight. Going forward, the route between Helsinki and Luxembourg will be operated twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Helsinki–Luxembourg service is operated with the new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, marking the first regular scheduled service using this aircraft type at Helsinki Airport.

The new connection strengthens Helsinki Airport’s position as a European hub airport. In addition to providing a new direct link to Luxembourg, the route also opens up a wide range of onward travel opportunities for passengers departing from Finland via Luxembourg Airport, particularly to popular destinations in Southern Europe.
