When packing electronic devices for your trip, make sure that no prohibited items or substances are left in your checked baggage. Items such as power banks, loose lithium batteries, lighters and electronic smoking devices are not allowed in the cargo hold and will be removed from checked baggage. A removal notice will be left inside your suitcase, explaining which items were removed and why.
Items removed during security screening are directed for disposal, recycling or donation. Removed items are not stored and cannot be returned to the passenger.
If a prohibited item is found in your carry-on baggage at the security checkpoint, it may need to be surrendered for disposal. For this reason, we recommend checking your baggage carefully already at home.
Spare batteries and power banks may only be carried in carry-on baggage
Passengers may carry up to two spare batteries or power banks. The lithium content of each battery must not exceed 2 grams, or the battery's energy rating must not exceed 100 Wh.
If the battery or power bank has an energy rating of 100–160 Wh, it may only be carried with the airline's approval.
Please note that airline regulations may vary. Always check your airline's latest baggage instructions before travelling.
