The timetables of the flight route between Mariehamn and Helsinki will change on 3 November 2014.

The new schedule allows passengers travelling from Åland to the capital region to extend their working day.

In the future, the morning flight to Helsinki departs earlier than before and the early evening flight to Mariehamn will leave earlier than before. The schedule has been designed with also passengers from Helsinki to Åland in mind.

The passenger volumes of the route have increased nicely throughout the summer and autumn, but we still need more passengers.

- We will do everything we can to ensure well-functioning air traffic for the island community. With this change we hope to attract the business passengers of the area to use the route that is important for the region even more, says Elina Boman, Regional Sales Manager at Flybe.

Flight traffic between Mariehamn and Helsinki has run smoothly in 2014. The percentage of flights operated is 99,9 and the punctuality percentage is 88 per cent, which means that the flights have departed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

The flight schedules were changed according to negotiations with our Åland-based partners.
