The first passengers on the new route were welcomed at the Helsinki Airport on Monday 4 November 2019.

Finnair operates the route between Helsinki and Beijing Daxing International Airport three times a week.

The new Beijing Daxing International Airport was opened in Autumn 2019, and Finnair is one of the first international airlines to start operations in the new premises. The new airport is located 46 km from the city centre of Beijing and 65 km from the Beijing Capital International Airport.

Including the new route, Finnair is now flying to seven destinations in China. This spring Finnair started a codeshare cooperation with Juneyao Air and China Southern, which increased the total number of its destinations in China.
