The Finnish Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors (JHL) has announced a walkout at Helsinki Airport on Thursday 5 October 2023 between 1.30 pm and 2 pm. The walkout concerns the security control personnel.

The walkout and the shortage of personnel will cause delays in the security control of both passengers and luggage.

We ask passengers to follow the instructions of their own airline regarding arrival at the airport, and to reserve some extra time for security control. We ask passengers to be prepared for security control points to be gradually reopened after the walkout ends, which will slow down clearing any queues.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to passengers. JHL’s measures do not target Finavia Corporation.
