Finnish Transport Agency: At the beginning, trains on the Ring Rail Line do not stop at the airport

Responsibility
Ring Rail Line opens to passengers on 1 July 2015. At the beginning, the trains will not stop at the Helsinki Airport station, and there will be a bus connection from Aviapolis station to the airport terminals.

Helsinki Airport station will open for passengers at the latest on 10 July, when construction work of the Tietotie entrance has been completed.

Until the Airport train station opens, there will be a free bus service from Aviapolis train station and the airport terminals. The bus ride to the airport takes about five minutes, and the buses run at about five minute interval during the operating hours of the train service.

Regular buses to Helsinki Airport, such as the regional route 615 and the Vantaa route 61, will continue to operate as normal.

Helsinki Airport station will open for passengers at the latest on 10 July, immediately after the completion of construction work of the Tietotie entrance. The direct entrance to the terminal will be opened later in the autumn.
