Finnair expands its route network and opens a seasonal connection to San Francisco in June 2017.

Finnair will fly to San Francisco three times a week during 1 June–30 September 2017. Flights from Helsinki to San Francisco will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The new northern route to San Francisco offers good travel times for passengers departing from Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Russia but also from several Central European cities. The new connection to San Francisco is part of Finnair’s co-operation project with American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia. Together these four carriers provide more than 100 daily flights between Europe and North America. In addition to San Francisco, Finnair will also fly to New York, Chicago and Miami in summer 2017.

Finnair is also adding a new connection to the Spanish city of Alicante in its offering for summer 2017. Alicante in Spain can be reached by four weekly Finnair flights during 26 March–27 October 2017. Finnair is also adding two weekly flights to Málaga in June–July, which means it offers a total of 11 weekly flights to Málaga during the summer holiday season. Last month Finnair also informed that it is opening new connections to Minorca and Ibiza in summer 2017.
