The inaugural flight was welcomed at Helsinki Airport with a festive reception. At the opening ceremony, remarks were delivered by Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim; the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Finland, Amna Fikri; State Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Risto Artjoki; and Finavia’s Director of Route Development, Petri Vuori.

New Route Connects Finland to Emirates’ Global Network
The new daily service connects Finland to Emirates’ extensive global network, offering passengers travelling from Helsinki convenient access to Dubai, one of the world’s leading international aviation hubs. Through Emirates’ extensive route network, travellers can enjoy seamless onward connections to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia.

Emirates’ Airbus A350 Brings a New Travel Experience to Helsinki Airport
The Helsinki route is operated with Emirates’ newest aircraft type, the Airbus A350, featuring a total of 298 seats across Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
The new aircraft brings Emirates’ latest cabin products, advanced inflight entertainment system and the airline’s renowned service experience to Helsinki Airport. Emirates has also incorporated Finnish elements into the passenger experience. For example, meals served on the Helsinki route feature Finnish-inspired flavours, while the entertainment selection includes Finnish films and music.
