"It’s great to see Finnair connections in the air again from Turku and Tampere. The new flights are a significant addition to the area's accessibility. Functional flight connections support vitality, the international connections of companies and the growth of tourism," says Petri Vuori, Finavia's Senior Vice President responsible for route development.
Finnair operates one daily overnight flight to both Turku and Tampere, connecting passengers with Finnair's European flights departing in the morning and with flights returning to Helsinki in the evening. In addition, there are connections to Helsinki via connecting flights in the daytime.

"Today, we have celebrated the opening of Finnair’s Helsinki-Turku route at Turku Airport. The route is a great addition to Turku’s accessibility, and it is important that people living and working in the Turku area use the new connection so that the demand in the area is also reflected in the number of passengers. On behalf of Finavia, I warmly welcome all passengers to Turku Airport," says Juha Aaltonen, Finavia's Airport Manager at Turku Airport.
Finnair announced the opening of the Turku and Tampere routes earlier this year. The flights that have now started will return daily flight connections between Turku and Tampere and Helsinki Airport. The flights will be operated with 68–70-seat ATR aircraft.
