Norwegian announced in its press release 30.1.2022 that will reopen five new routes from Helsinki Airport to popular destinations in Europe this week. The reopening of these routes will be followed by more new routes to be reopened during the spring and will lead to the total number of 27 routes operated from Helsinki Airport during the summer months.

The reopening routes connect Helsinki Airport and Chania, Larnaca, Palma de Mallorca, Nice and Split.

– We are happy to announce that starting this week we will have five new routes from Helsinki Airport. This will increase the number of our weekly flights from Helsinki Airport and we are able to serve even better our passengers who want to fly directly from Helsinki Airport to popular destinations in Europe, says Andreas Hjørnholm, Norwegian’s Head of Communications for Finland.

Norwegian continues to fly all year round the domestic routes between Helsinki and Oulu as well as Helsinki and Rovaniemi Airports.

Last week Norwegian announced that it will reopen its base at Helsinki Airport and hire 150 crew members – 100 for cabin crew and 50 pilots. This will strengthen Norwegian’s presence significantly in Finland. Norwegian is again the second largest airline at Helsinki Airport.
