Passengers have selected Helsinki Airport as the best airport in Northern Europe in a global airport customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax. The award was given to Finavia in Amsterdam on 15 March 2023.

“We are delighted and proud that our passengers have once again chosen Helsinki Airport as the best airport in Northern Europe. Our airport has a strong position among the best airports in the world,” says Helsinki Airport Director Ulla Lettijeff from Finavia.

The Skytrax survey is an internationally renowned passenger survey measuring the service level of airports and covering more than 550 airports around the world. The survey was conducted between August 2022 and February 2023. In the survey, passengers evaluated the level of airports’ services and products throughout the entire passenger journey.

“The new terminal at Helsinki Airport provides our passengers with even better services. As part of our extensive development programme, we have renewed the terminal’s service and restaurant offering as well as the departures hall, the arrivals hall and the security control area.”

In addition to being the best airport in Northern Europe, passengers also voted Helsinki Airport as the cleanest airport in Europe.

We believe that we have succeeded in planning and constructing an airport that serves the needs of different passengers in a versatile manner. In addition to Finavia’s employees, I would like to thank the entire airport community, where each of us plays a valuable part in creating a successful customer experience,” Lettijeff says.
