The autumn holiday season brings a large number of passengers to the airport, but good preparations make travelling smooth and pleasant. Passengers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the baggage and liquids rules in advance to make security control process as easy as possible.
Packing instructions and liquids rules
According to the rules that entered into force on 1 September 2024, liquid packages of a capacity not exceeding 100 ml may be carried in hand baggage, no more than two litres per passenger in total. However, liquids do not need to be removed from the hand baggage at security control. It is also important for passengers to check the liquids rules of the destination country and airline, as the rules may vary.
In addition, we would like to remind you that power banks and fire-making equipment must be carried in hand baggage, not in checked baggage. Detailed instructions can be found on Finavia’s website, which also includes a product search form: enter the product name and see the detailed packing instructions.
