Finavia takes part in Plan's ‘Day of the Girl’ campaign #mylaw that attracts attention to violence against girls.

During the campaign period, 10 September – 11 October, there will be five #mylaw buttons at Helsinki Airport. By pressing the buttons, you can take a stand on girls' rights and say no to violence against girls.

The buttons are placed near Plan's ‘Pastille’ fundraise receptacles.

“We are pleased that Finavia decided to take part in campaigning for girls' rights. This is primarily a Nordic campaign, but girls' cause is an international issue. We hope that as many people as possible give their support to the girls of the world by pressing the button,” says account manager Donata Pennanen of Plan Finland's corporate cooperation team.

Finavia's participation in the #mylaw campaign continues the cooperation between Plan and Finavia that started in 2008. At that time, five Plan's Pastille fundraise receptacles were placed at Helsinki Airport.

The boxes are located at gates 12, 19, 26 and 32 and between Arrivals halls 2A and 2B.

Later, Plan's fundraise receptacles have been introduced also at the airports in Oulu, Vaasa, Rovaniemi and Kokkola-Pietarsaari.

The collection has already yielded EUR 120,000

Everyone can donate any coins they have in their pockets and the foreign currency left over from their trip.

In summer 2015, the donations already amounted to EUR 120,000; and the collection continues. Air passengers' donations are used to schooling, child protection and early childhood education in the poorest countries.
