A large number of passengers will depart from Helsinki Airport on 5–7 April 2023. The busiest times are in the mornings between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. and in the afternoons between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

If you are departing from Helsinki Airport for your Easter holidays, please leave enough time for passing through the airport. The airport will have the largest number of departing passengers between Wednesday, 5 April, and Friday, 7 April.

For example, it’s a good idea to book parking at Helsinki Airport in advance and read Finavia’s packing instructions before leaving for the airport. With Finavia’s search engine, you can check what you can pack in hand baggage and what you can put in checked baggage.

Leave liquids and electronics in your bag during security control

When going through security control at Helsinki Airport, please leave any liquids and electronics in your bag. Security control at Helsinki Airport uses next-generation technology, which means that you won’t need to take these items out of your bag.

If you are going on a ski trip, please note that ski waxes must be carried in hand baggage and not in checked baggage or, for example, in ski bags.

Get your flight details from the MyFlight service

For example, if you select your interests, MyFlight will send you recommendations for restaurants and shops near your gate.
