There is growing demand for vegetarian food at the airport’s restaurants. Helsinki Airport offers a wide range of options. The needs of vegans are also catered for.

The cafés and restaurants at Helsinki Airport offer tasty options to suit all passengers with special diets. These options clearly indicated on the menus of restaurants and on signs and product information in cafés.

For vegans looking for a snack, options include fruit salads and nut mixes, which are are available at several of the airport’s kiosks and cafés.

The cafés offer coffee soy or oat milk for coffee, and these can also be foamed for specialty coffees. Soy and oat milk are also offered as beverages with meals. The cafés also offer a wide selection of juices and smoothies that are dairy-free and additive-free.

Examples of vegan options at the airport

Arctic Bar (gate 30): Vegan salads and sandwiches not listed on the menu are available on request.

Bistrot (arrivals 2A): The menu offers fresh vegan croissants and salads.

Café Tori (gate 26–27): Tori offers a variety of soups every month, some of which are vegan.

Cesar’s Little Italy (T2, ground floor): The breakfast buffet offers vegan options every day, including vegan porridge. The ample salad bar, available from morning to evening, is based on the kitchen’s offerings. There are also several side options for the salads that are suitable for vegans. The lunch buffet’s selection varies daily and includes different vegan options. On several days a week the soup of the day is also vegan.

Fly Inn (gate 27): All of the restaurant’s vegetarian items can also be made vegan.

Freshly Made (gate 27): You can grab a sandwich with vegan fillings for your flight.

Grab & Fly (gate 16): Vegan smoothies and fruit salad are available for vegans looking for a light snack.

Johan & Nyström Café (gate 13): We offer vegan snacks, like a fruit salad and chia bowl, to go with your coffee.

O’Learys (gate 29): All of the restaurant’s vegetarian items can also be made vegan on request. The new summer speciality at O’Learys is the tasty Oumph! burger.

Pier Zero (gates 28–29): The award-winning restaurant offers delicious vegan salads.

Starbucks (gate 32, arrivals 2B): The recently updated Starbucks food menu includes a vegan falafel hummus salad and a falafel wrap.

Tapio Café (gates 24–25): The café offers tasty fresh vegetable cups and a falafel-hummus salad.

TwoTigers (gate 34): Our vegetarian sushi platter is also suitable for vegans and the Kombu vegetable soup can be made without egg.

Urban Food Market (T1, check-in): Sandwiches with the customer’s selection of fillings can be made vegan. We also offer vegan smoothies.

WHSmith kiosks (gate 15, gate 29, T2, departures hall and T1, arrivals): Our wide selection of snacks includes vegan Yosa oat snacks and a tasty falafel hummus salad.

Wine & View (gate 26): Most of the delicious seasonal vegetable tapas options are vegan.

Restaurant and café personnel will be happy to tell you more about the options suitable for vegan diets. You can also confirm with the restaurant and café personnel that the items have not been processed on the same production line where animal-based products may have been processed.
